Obituary of Philip DiPietro
Philip DiPietro, 59, of Toms River and formerly of Howell passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Philip was born and raised in Brooklyn, moved to Howell in 1998 and settled in Toms River last year. He loved being in the sun and tanning. A sports enthusiast, Philip coached his daughter's recreation basketball program and was an avid Yankees and Giants fan as well as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Music was something he enjoyed listening to - everything from Frank Sinatra, the Beatles, rock or anything in between. Philip was the ultimate Girl Dad and was so proud of all of their professional accomplishments. His greatest treasure was his family and he loved spending time with them and cooking for them. He was known for his pizza and themed paper plates as well as being the "antipasti" king.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jean and Philip DiPietro; brothers, John DiPietro and Gaetano DiPietro; and father-in-law, James Rosciano, Jr. Philip is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Michelle DiPietro; daughters, Erica DiPietro and Alexa DiPietro; siblings, Anna Kenney and her husband, Eddie, Rita DiPietro and her wife, Lori, and Christina Farina; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Rosciano; brother-in-law, James Rosciano, III and his wife, Michele; nieces and nephews, Darren and his wife, Michelle, Dana, Melanie, Elizabeth and her husband, Michael, Danielle and her fiancé, Patrick, James IV, Lauren and JT; and great nephews, Bradley and Michael Nunzio.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Interment will follow in St. Gabriel's Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, 549 Route 520, Marlboro.
