Victor DiPietro,
Beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2025, at the age of 79, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.
Born on August 28, 1945 in Philadelphia, Victor lived a life filled with laughter, generosity, and unforgettable charm. Best known for his outgoing personality and infectious laugh, Victor had a way of lighting up every room he entered. Whether he was shooting pool like a pro, holding a winning poker hand, or bestowing a creative-and often hilarious-nickname on everyone he met, Victor brought joy and spirit to every occasion.
Victor retired from the United States Mint in Philadelphia after 38 years of dedicated service. During his time there, he took great pride in advocating for his fellow employees as Vice President of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 1023, a role he embraced with integrity, passion, and a deep commitment to justice and fairness in the workplace.
Victor is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Janice (née Zerillo), his cherished children Gina and Richard, his brother-in-law John Zerillo (Robin), his sister-in-law Rita Poppert (David), and a host of loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and his great-nephew and "main man," John Zerillo. He is also survived by many lifelong friends, whose bonds with Victor were built on years of shared memories, loyalty, and laughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gino and Mary DiPietro (née Maida), and his three brothers, Domenic, Gino, and Richard.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, especially through the stories, laughter, and nicknames he left behind.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Monday 10:00-11:30 AM at Calvary Chapel 5360 Route 42 North, Turnersville, NJ 08012. Celebration of life 11:30 AM
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Victor's honor to Calvary Chapel of Gloucester County, 5360 NJ-42, Blackwood, NJ 08012, a place of faith that held deep meaning for him and his family.
Victor's presence was truly one of a kind, and while he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit will continue to echo in the lives of those who loved him.
