Philip DiVenti Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jeffrey N Zumbrun Funeral Home on Feb. 16, 2026.
Philip "Phil" DiVenti, Jr., 64, of Woodbine, Maryland, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, at Union Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. Born on July 11, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland, Phil lived a life defined by devotion to his family, pride in his work, and deep roots in the community he loved. He was the beloved husband of Catherine DiVenti and a proud and devoted father to Jessica Paraway (Renard), Heather Young (Scott), Stephanie DiVenti, and Kaitlyn DiVenti. Phil was a cherished "Pop-Pop" to Jordan, Jeremiah, Jackson, Kolten, Juliana, Raelyn, and Kynslee, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. He was the loving son of Carole DiVenti and the late Philip DiVenti, and a caring brother to Susan Loss and the late Thomas DiVenti. Phil was widely known and respected as the owner and operator of Phil's Auto Repair Service in Eldersburg, where he built not only a successful business but lasting friendships with customers who trusted him for his honesty, skill, and generous spirit. Affectionately known as "Mr. Fix-It," Phil was truly a jack of all trades, always willing to lend a hand, offer advice, or repair just about anything. A graduate of Randallstown High School, Phil excelled in football and carried his competitive spirit and teamwork throughout his life. In his younger years, he shared his love of music as a talented drummer and guitar player in a local band. He also enjoyed drag racing his Chevy Camaro and attending concerts. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Phil was an avid fan of the Ravens and the Orioles and loved attending games in Baltimore. In his later years, his greatest happiness was found at home with his family-cheering on his grandchildren at their events, tending to his garden, spending time at the casino, vacationing in Ocean City, and fishing on his boat. Phil's legacy is one of love, loyalty, laughter, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Funeral services will be held at Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD, at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Wednesday from 1–3 PM and 5–7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Phil's memory to the American Kidney Fund at KidneyFund.org. I first met Phil (and Tom) in the 2nd grade at Winfield elementary school in Randallstown. I turned 8 that year.

We were friends through the rest of the school years through Johnnycake Junior High, Randallstown, Western Voc Tech and beyond.

We used to go over to his Grandmom's house and play music down in the basement. We played out in the barn at the house many times too.

We lost touch over the last 20 years or so but I will always consider Phil one of the great friends of my life. We had many great times. I will really miss him.

Deep condolences to Tom, Susan and everyone who knew and loved Phil.
I'm really sorry he left us so soon.
