Yolanda Cheatom, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, was born on January 23, 1982, to William (deceased) and Betty Cheatom; and peacefully transitioned on January 31, 2026 at the age of 44.
Yolanda (affectionately known as “Landa”) was born in Baltimore County, in Dundalk, Maryland, and was raised in the close-knit Turner Station community, where her vibrant personality began to shine early in life. She attended Logan Elementary School and Dundalk Middle School. In 1994, her family relocated to Randallstown, Maryland, where Yolanda continued her education and later graduated from Randallstown High School in 2001.
Yolanda was known by all who loved her as a woman full of life—outgoing, boisterous, and unforgettable. She had a bold spirit and a strong voice, never afraid to speak her mind. Her opinionated nature was simply part of her authenticity, and her determination reflected her desire to make something meaningful of her life.
Creative and unique, Yolanda had a true gift for beauty and self-expression. She loved doing hair, styling unique looks, and designing nails. She enjoyed interacting with people and had a personality that could light up any room. Yolanda was a hard worker who explored many occupations throughout her life, including hairstyling, nail design, security work, and work as a nursing assistant. She was always striving, always motivated, and always determined to improve her situation and build a better future.
Yolanda was raised in the church and grew up at First Apostolic Faith Church of Jesus Christ in Baltimore, Maryland, where she learned the Word of God and was grounded in Christian values from an early age. During difficult seasons of life, Yolanda often turned back to her spiritual foundation, relying on her faith and the strength she gained from knowing the Lord.
Yolanda leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, Betty (Cheatom) Seon; her devoted older sister, Joanne (Cheatom) Fenwick; her brother-in-law, Dante Fenwick; and a large circle of beloved cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved her dearly.
Yolanda’s presence, laughter, creativity, and strong spirit will be deeply missed. Though she is no longer with us in the way we wish, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
