Laura Monica DiVenti, a cherished nurse, sister, and mother, passed away on November 20, 2024, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Born on August 11, 1977, in Rockford, Illinois, Laura touched the lives of many throughout her journey.
Laura dedicated her career to caring for those struggling with mental health issues, particularly focusing on behavioral health and post-partum depression. Earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arizona State University, she devoted herself to helping others navigate their own challenges, demonstrating incredible compassion and resilience. Her professional path was more than just a career; it was a true reflection of her commitment to supporting individuals and families during their most difficult times.
Outside her vocation, Laura was known for her vivacious spirit and a life rich with adventure. She embraced her interests with passion, finding joy in creating beautiful origami hanging art and nurturing her beloved dogs. Even while navigating her own struggles with mental health, Laura consistently sought to uplift those around her, often wearing a brave smile.
Laura's family will always remember the warmth and love she shared. As the younger sister of Paul DiVenti and Andrew DiVenti, as well as being an older sister to Joanne Horvat, she created lasting memories that will be forever cherished. The moments spent with her mother, Fran, were especially dear to her, as reflected in the love expressed by her sister. Laura's proudest accomplishments included her distinction as a registered nurse and the joy of bringing her daughter, Meegan, into the world.
Laura is survived by her Daughter Meegan, her father, Charles DiVenti; her brother Paul and sister-in-law Christina, her brother Andrew and her sister-in-law Holli ; her sister, Joanne; her brother-in-law, Chris. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Kennedy.
As a beloved member of her family and the community, Laura’s spirit and dedication will not be forgotten. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness and strength. Her impact on the lives of others remains profound. Laura Monica DiVenti will be deeply missed.
