Philip Irwin Harvey, Jr.

Philip Irwin Harvey, Jr., a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the age of 61. Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, on June 1, 1964, to Philip Harvey, Sr. and Lorene Ann Harvey, Phil lived a life filled with family, friends, and simple pleasures.

Phil was a successful business owner in the construction industry, demonstrating a strong work ethic and dedication throughout his career. Beyond his professional life, he found immense joy in the simple things: a day of fishing, watching classic television shows like "Leave It to Beaver," spending time with his cherished grandchildren, Grace, Nick, Destiny, and Lynslee Dillon, his grand dogs, Elli Kate and Barbara Jean, and savoring his favorite treats – Coca-Cola, beef jerky, MMs, potted meats, and fresh seafood. He will be remembered for his warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Philip Harvey, Sr., his wife, Bettie Michell Harvey, and his beloved dog, Charlie.

He is survived by his loving mother, Lorene Ann Harvey; his best friend and life partner, Patricia Blake; his daughter, Megan Michell Dillon and her husband, Brandon; his loyal, canine companion, Lucy; his siblings, Elizabeth Ann Joachim and her husband, Craig, and David Michael Harvey and his wife, Jennifer; his nieces and nephews, Morgan Elizabeth Joachim and her fiancé Emily Warren, Mason Connor Joachim and his wife Julia, Adelle Claire Harvey, Emmy Estelle Harvey, and Sutton Michael Harvey.

Phil’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family would like to thank Ocean Springs Hospital physicians and staff for their excellent care in his final moments.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Batson's Children's Hospital or the local food bank or animal shelter of your choice in Phil's memory. His kind heart and generous spirit will be deeply missed.
