Philip Michael Honer passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024. He was 77 years old and fought against Lymphoma for a year.
Phil was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Thelma and Irving Honer. He worked for his father in their grocery for many years then became a Corrections Officer for the state of New Jersey, retiring as a lieutenant in 2008. Following retirement in 2010 Phil and wife Sheila moved to Murrells Inlet. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran, a Mason for over 50 years, a Shriner and a member of the Temple Shalom Synagogue and a member of the Wachesaw Plantation HOA Board. Phil was also a wonderful Ham Radio Operator and was a member of several Corvette Clubs, his favorite car. He will be meeting his daughter, Rachel in heaven.
Phil is survived by the love of his life wife of 56 years; Sheila, son; Harry and his wife Chris, grandchildren; Madison, Nick, Aidan and his new grandson in law Dan.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday December 22, 2024 at their residence.
Phil was the best husband, father, a loyal friend, a kind, caring and considerate, beautiful human who lived life to the fullest even though it was cut short.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Shriners Hospital in Greenville, SC. lovetotherescue.org
Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is handling arrangements.

Sooo very sorry to read about Phil's passsing!! We were friends when he lived up here in Warminster Pa for many, many years!!GREAT human being ,with a Great sense of Humor, I had put up a couple of antennas for Phil thru the years up on his Radio tower here in Warminster pa Will miss you my Friend !!
