Philip Jackson Huddleston, 84, passed away peacefully at Levine Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville on June 21, 2024. 

He was born in York, South Carolina on February 20, 1940 to the late Barr and Esma Huddleston. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Earl, B.W. Jr., Evelyn, Dot, Mott, Pete, Kenny, Harold, and Jimmy Wayne. 

Philip was a graduate of Biscayne Business College and dedicated member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church. He loved sports and was an avid carp fisherman and he also enjoyed golf. Philip leaves many happy memories to be cherished by his family and all those who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his wife, Dianne Huddleston; children, Paul Huddleston (Jennifer), Robbie Wayne Huddleston, Connie Huddleston (Petra Fugger), Leia Huddleston; brothers, Joe and Barney Huddleston; and his grandchildren, Jaylen Dobson, Sam Young, Asher Huddleston, Jennifer and Eric Eisele. 

 Family and friends will gather from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Tommy Huddleston officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in York, SC. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sandy Plains Baptist Church Building Fund, 5323 Union Road, Gastonia, NC 28056.
