Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Philip Edward Mierzejewski, age, 58, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Saturday, July 26, 2025. Mr. Mierzejewski was born in London, England the son of Marie Claude Chaney and the late Edward Mierzejewski. Mr. Mierzejewski was owner / operator of Georgia Spec Heating and Cooling and was of the Christian faith. As a young child he lived in Europe before moving to the US. He spent all of his adult life in Georgia. His hobbies included skydiving, modifying his Jeep Gladiator, enjoying time on the lake, relaxing, and spending time with his beloved cat Tyke.

Survivors include his mother, Marie Claude Chaney of Augusta, South Carolina; son, Taylor P. Mierzejewski of Pendergrass, GA; daughter, Madeleine J. Mierzejewski of Pendergrass, GA; son, Jacob T. Mierzejewski of England; granddaughter, Remi C. Mierzejewski of Cleveland, GA; brother, Eric Mierzejewski of Virginia; half-sister, Michelle Chaney of GA; Uncle, Richie Mierzejewski (JoAnne), Dickson City, Pennsylvania; Nephew, Matthew Mierzejewski, Dickson City, Pennsylvania and his former wife, Jennifer L. Mierzejewski, Pendergrass, GA.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday September 6, 2025 from Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Eric Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Evans Funeral Home prior to the service.
