Philip Corey Miller, 36, passed away on September 8th, 2023. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 16,1986.
Philip, lived a unique and creative life and is survived by his mother, Renee Strudel; brother, Patrick Miller; grandmother, Marianne Massey; stepfather, John W "Rusty" Strudel; stepbrothers, John R and Zackery Strudel; and ex-spouse, Lidia Rico and Father, Walter F Miller (deceased)
From a young age, Philip loved surfing. He was incredibly creative and intelligent. He loved technology and fixing cars. As he got older, he became an entrepreneur, photographer, videographer, and editor. He created his own business by converting classic vans into custom "van life" vans in California. From there, he was hooked.
He documented his travels on his YouTube channel, "Gypsy Tribe" which took him all over the world from Spain and Canada to Central America. He loved traveling and exploring. He recently had his first photographs published in c-head magazine. Philip always had his own unique style, and we are so thankful to be able to carry on his memory.
His Celebration of Life is on October 14 2023 at 4pm. It will be held at the Emmaus Church Jax, at 3425 Sans Pareil Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32224. Any flower donations, please send them there.
The following day, October 15th. We will celebrate Philip with a paddle out at the Jacksonville Beach oceanfront park on 1st St an 6th Ave South, at 10 am. Please come join us on the beach as our local surfing community says goodbye and to honor one of our own.
Please go to the photo tab and add your favorite picture of Philip. We hope to display these at his Celebration of Life.
