Phil is survived by his brother Allen Tart and sister Dolly Cannon (Charles) of Wendell, nieces Emma Mulvaney (Chandler) of Centennial, CO, Ashton Mullen (Nate) of Hickory, NC, and great-nephew Cameron Mulvaney.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents and his dogs.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 13th, at 2:30pm at Greenmont Cemetery, 536 W Academy Street, Wendell, NC. The family will receive visitors at the home of Dolly Cannon at 913 Trumpet Vine Court, Wendell, NC.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
