It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Phillip B. Araujo, a devoted husband, cherished father, and beloved member of the Araujo family. Phillip passed away on 12/18/2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.
Born on 12/10/1977 in Del Rio, Texas, Phillip lived a life full of purpose and compassion. He was the loving husband of Maria I. Araujo, with whom he shared 19 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories.
As a father, Phillip was a pillar of strength and a source of endless support and encouragement to his three children: Abigail Araujo, Andrea Araujo and Fabian Araujo. He taught them the importance of kindness, perseverance, and love, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments.
Phillip has always prioritized his family and cherished every moment spent with them. Known for his unwavering work ethic and passion for his career on the rail roads, Phillip took great pride in his role. His warm smile and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Surviving family members include his wife of 19 years, Maria I. Araujo of Del Rio; children: Abigail Araujo, Andrea Araujo, and Fabian P. Araujo; parents, Dahlia and Adalberto Araujo Jr. of San Antonio, T; brother, Adalberto Araujo III (Diana) of Houston, Texas;
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel of Faith.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
