Phillip Barnes

Phillip Barnes, age 67, of Forrest City, died Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Forrest City Medical Center in Forrest City. His death came sudden and unexpected. Mr. Barnes was born October 18, 1957, in Forrest City, and was the son of David Barnes and Ella Mae Staggs Barnes. Mr. Barnes is survived by two brothers; Harold Barnes, and wife, Mary, of Forrest City, and Dewey Barnes, and wife, Jean, of Illinois, and two sisters; June Hill and Gail Howard, and husband, Benny Moret, all of Wheatley. Services for Mr. Barnes will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 P.M., Monday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, 1:00 P.M., until the time of the service.
