Phillip Cano Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home on Dec. 12, 2022.
Phillip Stephan Cano, 52, of Hot Springs, passed away in Little Rock on December 9th, 2022 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Houston, Texas to parents, Carlos Cano and Patricia Jacoby Redner.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Patricia and older brother, Patrick Cano.
He leaves behind his father Carlos, long-time partner Angela Mills, daughters Megan Perez and Dakota Cano, granddaughters Sophia Nelson, Alayna Nelson and Mercy Perez, brothers George Cano, William Schane and Michael Schane, sisters Anna Cano Satoe and Rebecca Schane Clemons and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Phillip grew up in San Antonio, Texas where he enjoyed playing football and annoying his older siblings.
As an adult he loved anything with an engine that would go fast trucks, boats, jet skis, ATVs, if it could go fast, it was for him. He also enjoyed fishing and telling Angie what to do, not that she listened much. Phillip never met a stranger. He could find common ground to start a conversation with anyone, anywhere. Spend 5 minutes with him and you would be laughing and calling him friend.
The absolute most important things in his world were his girls. He was so proud of them and loved to talk about them. He was a devoted father and partner. He encouraged and supported, sometimes a bit too much but, it came from a good place.
Phillip was a big man, with a big heart. With him gone, there is a hole in the lives of all that knew and loved him. The family has decided to grieve privately at this time. Phillip always wanted to make people laugh and have a good time. For this reason, there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
The family wishes to thank the many friends and family members that have offered assistance and support during his long illness and now. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made directly to Caruth-Hale Funeral Home to assist with the cost of final arrangements.
