Phillip Lee Crosby Sr. 83 of Ashland formerly of West Salem died on February 15, 2025 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster. He was born June 8, 1941 in Lodi, Ohio to parents Carleton and Marian (Moutoux) Crosby. He married his Lorena (Yoho) Crosby on August 2, 1968. She preceded him in death. He retired from Akron Brass Company where he was a machinist and quality control. He also worked on the West Salem and the Congress Police department. Phillip enjoyed playing in his bowling league and where he was able to play a perfect game. He also enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and enjoying time with his family.
He is survived by his children: Phillip (Cindy) Crosby Jr. of Wooster, Marvin (Jenny) Crosby of Creston, Steven Crosby of Ashland and Susan (Scott) Perry of Ashland; 13 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; sisters: Kathleen Jewel of Ashland and Karolyn (Ervil) Starr of Overton and sister-in-law, Patricia Crosby of Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorena of 55 years; grandson, Robert Crosby; siblings: Gilbert Crosby and Margaret Brislinger and daughter-in-law, Tammy Crosby.
The funeral service for Phillip will be on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 1:00PM located at the Matteson Funeral Home. Pastor Tadd Sponseller will be officiating the service. The visitation will be the hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the services at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
