Thomas Mark Carr, 69 of Valley Grove, West Virginia passed away Thursday August 7, 2025 at Fairmont Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Fairmont, West Virginia. He was born in Monongalia County, West Virginia to parents Edward and Ruby (Goff) Carr.

Tom was a self-employed brick mason who worked hard to provide for his family. He married Jackie (McQuate) Carr on April 2, 1983 and together with his son; Travis started Tom's Masonry Service in Alum Bridge, West Virginia. Later changing the name to Carr's Masonry Construction in Princeton, Iowa. Tom enjoyed living on his farm in West Virginia and exploring the forest and mountains.

He is survived by his children; Travis and Brittany Lynn Carr of the home, grandchildren; Jacklyn Renee and Sage, sisters; Julian "Judy" Rose of Wichita, Kansas and Diane Wade of Ohio, mother-in-law; Nora McQuate, sister-in-law; Lynette Hines and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Jackie who died November 3, 2020, his parents, brother; Chuck Carr, father-in-law; Carl McQuate, brother-in-law; Patrick McQuate and sister-in-law; Deanna McQuate.
