Phillip Dragone

Phillip Dragone, 81, of Watertown, passed away on February 26th, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband to the late Jean M. (Gomes) Dragone. Loving father to Phillip J. Dragone and his wife Kimberly of Stoneham and Frank Dragone of Watertown. Dear grandfather to Phillip John, Christopher and Dante. Born December 25, 1944, he is the son of the late Frank and Lena (Napolitano) Dragone. Brother of Rosann Donahue and her late husband Robert "Doc", Joseph Dragone and his wife Madeline, Audrey Rapallo, Roberta Stearns and her husband William and the late Richard Dragone and his late wife Shelly.

Phillip was born in Cambridge, MA on Dec 25, 1944. Phillip graduated from Watertown High School and was a proud Watertown resident his whole life. He worked at the company his grandfather started, Dragone Cheese, from his childhood until 1978. From there, he started his own cheese company with his brothers Richard and Joseph, Giuseppe Cheese Co. Upon retiring in 2003, he enjoyed spending his time traveling with his beloved wife Jean to Vegas, St. Martin and Marthas Vineyard. After Jean passed away in 2009, Phillip spent his time with his Children, grandchildren and siblings. Phillip took his kids and grandkids to Walt Disneyworld in 2015, creating amazing, lasting memories. He loved his Red Sox and Patriots despite loudly complaining about both!

Relatives and friends are invited to visit in the DeVito Funeral Home 761 Mount Auburn St. WATERTOWN, on Friday March 6th from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. There will be some words of remembrance shared by his family to conclude the evening. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phillip's name may be made to The National Kidney Foundation.
