Phillip DuPalevich Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jones Funeral Home - Jacksonville on Feb. 2, 2026.
Jacksonville – Phillip Paul DuPalevich, 82, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, passed away on January 29, 2026, at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.

Phillip was born on July 24, 1943, in Pender County, North Carolina, to the late Michael DuPalevich and Mabel Rivenbark DuPalevich. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie DuPalevich.

He is survived by his son, Paul DuPalevich; sister, Frances Councilman; special aunt, Betty Rivenbark; and several loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Phil never met a stranger; to know him was to love him. He lived by the saying, "Smile at the world and the world will smile back," which he truly embodied. With an endless supply of jokes, he made it his mission to bring genuine laughter to everyone he encountered, whether friends, acquaintances, or new faces.

A special man with sincere friendships that lasted decades, Phil was adored by all for his ability to truly listen. He took immense pride in his son, Paul, and all of his accomplishments. He was deeply loved by his late wife, Joyce, and he is surely beaming with joy to be reunited with her again.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:30 to 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phillip's name to Onslow County Sponsors of Academic Talent, Onslow County Meals on Wheels, or Onslow County Animal Services.
