Phillip Hammond Obituary

Born on October 28, 1956 in Frederick, MD, Phil was the son of the late Murton and Thelma (Millberry) Hammond. He was also predeceased by siblings, Murton "Pete" Hammond, Bernard Millberry, Patsy Millberry; and nephew Darren Jones.
Phil was a maintenance worker for the Westminster Greens Apartments. He enjoyed his job thoroughly and was a crafty and handyman in general. In his spare time, Phil could be found watching sci-fi or war shows, and cracking jokes to anyone.
Phil is survived by his wife, Valerie Hammond; stepchildren, Victoria Jarboe, Roy Jarboe, Grant Jarboe; siblings, Gerald Millberry, Pernell Hammond, Sharon Jones, Gilbert Hammond, Phyllis Hammond-Butts (Mike), Therl Hammond; and many other extended family members and friends,
The family will welcome friends on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, MD. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 beginning at 11:00am with Pastor Darrell Davis officiating.
Interment will be private.
