Phillip Wayne Jacobs

Phillip Wayne Jacobs was born in San Antonio, Texas, on September 7, 1979, to Gordy and Freda Jacobs and passed away on March 31, 2025, in Jackson, La.
Phillip worked for the last 7 years at BASF and over 20 years at Georgia Pacific, where he met his best friends and mentors. Phillip was endlessly talented. He devoted a great deal of time to his passion for art and music. He enjoyed drawing with charcoal and had a surplus of pencils. He was committed to his love of acrylic, watercolor, and oil painting. He loved woodworking, electrical work, gardening, cooking, and reading. Phillip enjoyed collecting knives, cast iron, and beard combs. Phillip could sing the words to any song and play almost any instrument, but he especially enjoyed his guitar. Phillip spent many hours with his guitar, teaching others how to play and attending "band practice" with his friends.
To know Phillip was to love him. Phillip was the center of any gathering and loved to make others laugh. He also enjoyed laughing at you or with you. He shared his quick wit, sarcasm, dad jokes, and pranks with anyone he encountered.
Phillip will be dearly missed and survived by his wife Stephanie and their children and grandchildren: Kayla Jacobs (Trae Ball), Taylor Guyer (Eric Pointon), Taylin Jacobs, Rhett Guyer, Vivian Guyer, Tarra Guyer (Conner White), Hunter Jacobs, and grandchildren Karson, Kamdynn, and Kasidee Ball, Lennox Pointon, Anastasia, Violette and Xyla Guyer, and Crue Allen White. He is also survived by his Sisters: Mona Abdullayev and Charlotte Ashley, nieces, nephews, and enumerable beloved friends, coworkers, and neighbors that were cherished family.
Public visitation is 9-11 am on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary, La with a service to follow where we will welcome everyone to share memories of such a memorable man.
