PEACHLAND – On Friday, December 10, 2021, Mr. Phillip Eugene Langston, 76, passed away at Atrium Health Union in Monroe.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday, December 17, 2021, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro with Rev. Benjamin McLaughlin officiating. Interment will follow in the Langston Family Cemetery, 1101 Long Pine Church Road in Peachland.
The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday, December 16, 2021, at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Phillip was born May 22, 1945, in Marion County, SC and was a son of the late Benjamin Delee Langston and the late Pearline Poston Langston. He was a partner in the family business Langston Tree Service.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lisa Martin of Peachland; his grandson, Colton Holden (Aubri) and Brandon Holden (MacKenzie) both of Peachland; his great-grandchildren, Noah, Mason, Weylen, Jesse, and Nolan; his sisters and brother, Barbara Hayes and Betty Hill (Eddie) both of Marshville and Larry Langston (Lucy) of New Salem and his nieces and nephews and their families.
Also surviving are his step-sons, Dean (Stacy) Stone and Mike (Rhonda) Stone and step-grandchildren, Tiffany Helms, Stephanie Kerley, Cody Stone, and Byron Stone, along with numerous step-great grandchildren; and Donnie Ray Peyton, who was like a son to him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyla Langston and his brothers and sisters, Richard Langston, Ruby Sturgeon, Virginia Brodbelt, I.D. Langston, Rose Marie Cameron and Patricia Langston.
