On July 3, 2024, Phillip and Sandra Shirmeyer went home to be with the Lord.
Phil was known for his career in commercial construction in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Sandra was a dedicated teacher of 38 years at St Charles School. They were blessed to spend their lives together at their favorite place, on Adams Lake, Indiana.
As spiritual people, they were pillars of strength for all who knew them.
They shared a love for nature, traveling to visit family in Italy, their dog Duffy, cheering on their favorite sports teams, making holidays magical, and spending time with family.
Phil and Sandra are survived by brother, David Shirmeyer; sister Sandra (Shirmeyer) Riley; children/stepchildren, Roslyn Smyth, Charley (Christina) Shirmeyer, Andrew (Elonda) Shirmeyer; and grandchildren, Joseph, Evelyn, Steven, Sienna, and Zander.
Mass of Christian Resurrection will be held on July 27 at 10:30 AM at St Charles Church, 4916 Trier Rd., Fort Wayne with visitation 1 hour prior.
Join us for a gathering to remember their lives on July 26 from 4 to 8 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Adams Lake Conservation Club C/O Sue Burns 6409 S. 425 E. Wolcottville, Indiana 46795.
