Phillip Dale Stevens

Phillip Dale Stevens, age 53 of Cowan, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. A native of Franklin County, he was born on July 5, 1972, to the late Verna Mae (Gipson) Stevens. Phillip worked in the construction industry, specializing in carpentry for residential construction. He loved a good day of fishing and listening to country music. An animal lover, he had a caring nature, as well as outgoing never meeting a stranger. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his siblings, James Stevens, Kathy Thompson, and Teresa Morrison. Phillip is survived by his loving children, Phillip Boughton, Paige Stevens, and Jordan Stevens; mother of his children, Jennifer Boughton; grandchildren, Cheyenne Thomas and Kayden Stevens; siblings, Ricky Stevens, Joy Stevens, and Tanya (Junior) Stevens; aunt, Patsy Melton; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
