Philo Wightman Obituary
Brent was born on January 7, 1941, in Spanish Fork, Utah. He graduated from Cyprus High School in 1959 and went on to attend Snow College, where he excelled as a three-sport athlete-an early reflection of his lifelong love for sports.
A passionate competitor and mentor, Brent played fastpitch softball for many years and spent much of his life coaching youth sports. He found great joy in encouraging young athletes, sharing his knowledge, and building lasting relationships through sports.
Brent also loved the open road and never missed an opportunity for a road trip. He cherished his time working at KSL, a place that suited his friendly nature and gift for connecting with people. Known by many and loved by all, Brent had a remarkable ability to know someone everywhere he went, leaving friends wherever life took him.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; three children, Linda, Scott (Christine), and Dugan; his two stepchildren, Craig and Roger; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. His warmth, humor, and genuine kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Murray Armory, located at 246 E. Myrtle Avenue, Murray, Utah 84107.
Brent's legacy of friendship, generosity and love lives on in the many lives he touched.

I'm sorry to hear about Brents passing, I had the good fortune of knowing him from the rec center we both attended. He's going to be missed by all who knew him, truly a kind gentleman.
