Phuong Hoang Vu, a beloved figure who graced this world with his presence, passed away July 20, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born on October 19, 1964, in Vietnam, Phuong carried with him the rich culture and traditions of his homeland throughout his life.
Phuong's career was marked by dedication and hard work as a technician at Boeing. His commitment to excellence in his professional life was admired by all who had the privilege to work with him. He not only excelled in his field but also took great pride in his accomplishments, especially his family, whom he cherished deeply.
An alumnus of higher education, Phuong earned his bachelor's degree, a testament to his determination and striving for knowledge. He was a man who enjoyed life, embracing each moment with an infectious spirit. Phuong had a passion for music, delighting in playing the guitar and keyboard, sharing these moments of joy with family and friends. He also had a keen interest in sports cars, reflecting his adventurous side and love for the thrill of life.
Phuong was known for his enjoyable demeanor and jovial personality, often sharing laughter and good times with those around him. He found pleasure in the simple joy of a good glass of wine, making memories in the company of loved ones.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Ngutye Trinh; son, Loc Vu; daughter, To Nga Vu; grandchildren, Cameron Vu, Caster Vu, Tyler Tran, Taryn Tran, and Eisley Vu; brothers, Richard Vu, Bao Vu, Chwana Vu, Thien Vu, and Minh Vu; sister-in-laws, Ly Haynh, Tuyet Phi, Thi Lee, and Tammy Phan; nephews, Matthew Vu and Michael Vu; and niece, Courtney Vu. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vu Viet Tuyán and Nguyen Thi Timh.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 27, 2025, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Services from 9:00-10:00 a.m. A funeral mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The family requests flowers be sent to the funeral instead of donations.
He departed this life too soon after a brave battle with leukemia, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth. Phuong Hoang Vu will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but for the deep love he held for his family, who meant the world to him. His spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those privileged enough to have known him.
