Phylis Cecola Obituary
Along with her parents, Phyllis is reunited in passing with her beloved husband, Thomas Cecola, Sr.
Phylis was born in and lived in Chicago and raised her family in Naperville, Il she retired to Murrells Inlet SC. She took pride in hard work and had a heart of gold. Phylis was a skilled beautician, administrative assistant and Pharmacy tech over the years. In her free time, Phyllis loved to give back to her community. She was an active member of Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church in Pawleys Island where she also volunteered her time to the public library and Father Pat's soup kitchen. Above all else, Phyllis loved her family with her whole heart. She will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish Phyllis' memory are her sons, Thomas Cecola, Jr and his wife, Susan, Richard Cecola & Jeffrey Cecola; grandchildren, Ben (Marissa), Jack, Cam, Olivia & Joey; sister in-law, Joyce Weaver (Dan); many nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.
A Celebration of Phylis' life will be held on Thursday May 15, 2025 at 3PM at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church, 1633 Waverly Rd, Pawleys Island, SC 29585. Immediately following the service, light refreshments will be served at Phylis' home. All are welcomed.
At the request of the family, please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers. Donations in Phylis' name may be made to Father Pat's Soup Kitchen, c/o the church, at the address listed above or St Jude children hospital https://www.stjude.org/

My heartfelt prayers and sympathy go out to the family. May God comfort all of you with His peace and love during this difficult time. When a loved one becomes a memory that memory becomes a treasure. May this time of sorrow allow you to reflect upon all the joy that was shared with Phyllis. I have such fond memories of Grand Avenue. Of Elva's beauty salon and Cecola's Pharmacy. My cousin's Joyce and Tommy. My auntie Elva and uncle Ben. My mom and dad. The laughter and the good times with uncle Pat and auntie Rosie and of course I couldn't forget Jimmy's Hot Dogs.. These memories are embedded in my heart forever.
