Phyllis Adams Obituary

Born February 28, 1944, in Fayette County, Indiana, to James Luke and Mary Jane Hilderbrand Ramey, Phyllis was a life-long resident of this area. She was a 1962 graduate of Centerville High School. Phyllis worked at Nettle Creek Industries and the Abington General Store. She enjoyed gardening, being outside, crocheting, painting ceramics, taking care of her cats, being around people and visiting her friends. Phyllis was treasurer of the Abington Cemetery for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Abington Christian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Angela (John) Williamson; grandchildren, Paul Williamson and Mary Williamson; brother, Dick Ramey; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Keith Adams; parents; sister, Sarah Daniels; and sister-in-law, Diana Ramey.
Visitation for Phyllis Jean Adams will be from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main, Centerville. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Mills Funeral Home with Pastor David Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Abington Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Help the Animals, Inc., PO Box 117, Richmond, IN 47375 or the charity of your choice.
