Phyllis McElroy Bisaillon

Phyllis McElroy Bisaillon, age 96 of Bradley, passed away on Friday April 11, 2025, at LaBella of Clifton. She was born January 13, 1929, in Kankakee, the daughter of Joseph and Stella (Ignatowicz) Spangler. Phyllis married Francis McElroy on April 19, 1947, he preceded her in death on September 21, 1992. Phyllis married William Bisaillon on May 21, 1994. William preceded her in death on February 14, 2014.

Phyllis was a beautician by profession. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose. Phyllis enjoyed line dancing and crocheting.

Phyllis was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley.

Surviving are three sons, Allen McElroy of Bradley, James McElroy of Southern Illinois, John (Sue) McElroy of Gilman; two daughters, Cathy McElroy of Eastern United States, Marianne (Gary) Neuby of Kankakee; one brother, Wayne (Donna) Spangler of Bradley; eighteen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her husbands, Francis and William; her parents; one son, Larry McElroy; one sister, Dolores O'Connor; and one brother, Tommy Spangler.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 1:00 p.m. service on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kankakee.
