Phyllis L. Chapman

Phyllis L. (Losordo) Chapman, 108 years old, passed away peacefully at Falmouth Hospital on January 27, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis S. Chapman with whom she shared 50 wonderful years of marriage.

Phyllis was born on November 5, 1917 to parents Frank Losordo and Pasqualina (Polcari) Losordo, in Boston, MA. After completing high school, she went on to earn her bachelor's degree in accounting. Phyllis made history as one of the first female graduates from Bently College. She went on to enjoy a lifelong career running the office and accountant for her family's construction business, "Frank Losordo Sons, Inc. When Phyllis was not working, she enjoyed travelling the world and spending time with her family.

Phyllis is survived by many generations of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and their families. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Pasqualina Losordo; her brothers Anthony Losordo, John Losordo, Frank Losordo, Joseph Losordo, Benjamin Losordo, Michael Losordo; and her sister Mary Losordo Sowell.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 74 Algonquin Ave. (RTE 151), in Mashpee. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Christ the King Church, 5 Job's Fishing Rd., in Mashpee. Burial will immediately follow on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 12:30 PM at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., in Bourne.
