Phyllis E. Dieken, 91, of Danforth passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth. She was born on November 4, 1933 in Woodland, a daughter of Fred and Helen (Saathoff) Kuhlman. Phyllis married Robert E. Dieken on September 15, 1951 in Danforth and he preceded her in death on August 11, 2015.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Brad (Tammy) Dieken of Danforth; one daughter, Brenda Miller of Danforth; five grandchildren, Jeff Miller of Michigan, Jim (Tiffany) Miller Wisconsin, Jacob (Dana) Miller of Clifton, Wayne (Alicia) Dieken of Danforth, and Eric (Megan) Dieken of El Paso, Illinois; and one brother, Ronald (George Ann) Kuhlman of Gilman.
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by both of her parents and two infant granddaughters.
Phyllis was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Danforth, where she was a worker for the St. John's Women of the Church. Phyllis worked for 33 yrs alongside her husband in Dieken's Superway grocery store in Danforth and Ashkum. She served as curator for the Danforth Historical Society. Phyllis enjoyed helping with the Red Cross Blood Drives for many years. She found joy in researching local and family history as well as gardening, baking, and reading. Most of all, Phyllis loved being with her family and spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private burial will be held in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Danforth.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Danforth Historical Society.
Arrangements are by the Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
