Born in Paterson, Phyllis had resided in Hawthorne for the last 64 years. A former parishioner of St. Anne's R.C. Church in Fair Lawn, Phyllis had a long career as a secretary for the Hawthorne Board of Education, working for the Department of Special Programs for over 30 years. Prior to that she had worked for the Board of Social Services in Paterson. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking and traveling with her husband.
Phyllis M. Garrison was the beloved wife of the late James W. Garrison (2018). Loving mother of Pamela Garrison-Borowski and her husband John of Hawthorne, and James A. Garrison and his wife Lori of Elmwood Park. Dear grandmother of Amanda Bartlett and her husband Matthew of Wayne, and Matthew Garrison of Hawthorne. Great grandmother of Jameson Bartlett. Sister of the late Ann Rotio and Emil DiRobbio.
All funeral services will be private.
