Phyllis Lavonne Glisson

Phyllis Lavonne McCaskill Glisson, age 85, of Winnsboro, South Carolina, passed away on December 12. 2025, and entered into eternal rest with her Lord.

She was born on June 10,1940, in Bennettsville, South Carolina, to the late Roy McCaskill and Geneva Barrett McCaskill. Phyllis was the eldest of eight children, having four sisters and three brothers.

She later married Ray Glisson of Tampa, Florida, and together they built a life and raised four children: Danny, Keith, Dale, and Dixie. Lavonne was a devoted Christian and a faithful, long-standing member of Winnsboro Church of God. Her life was marked by kindness, selflessness, and a deep love for her family and friends.

She is survived by her siblings, Billy McCaskill, Betty Jane Swann, Rhonda Pate, and Janet Crump, her sons Danny Glisson (Rae), Keith Glisson (Lisa), Dale Glisson (Ashley), Dixie Glisson (Dawn) many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Glisson; her brothers, Eddie McCaskill and Tony McCaskill, and sister Jeanine Smith, two grandchildren Kandi & Sandi Glisson. She also leaves behind many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.
