Phyllis M. Gudeahn, 80, a longtime Moosup resident, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
She was born on March 5, 1944 in Norwich, Connecticut the daughter of the late Carl and Regina Woyasz, and was the loving wife of James Gudeahn. They were married April 11, 1964 at All Hallows Church, Moosup.
She was a dedicated employee of A&P Supermarket for almost 33 years before finally retiring.
Phyllis enjoyed crafts, decorating for holidays, yoga, and bike riding and walking; was proud of her Polish Heritage and cooking Polish food. She loved vacationing in New Hampshire and enjoyed spending time at The Hairdressers in Moosup. But she treasured most was spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband Jim she is survived by her daughter Sharon Koziol and husband Mark; grandson's Eric Koziol & wife Nicole and Brendon Koziol; great grandchildren Adalynn and Sophia; brother Ronald Woyasz; and her nieces Theresa, Laura and Anya Woyasz and nephew Donald Gudeahn, Jr. She was predeceased by her brother Richard Woyasz.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, July 23, from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the Dougherty Bros. Funeral Home, 595 Plainfield Rd, Plainfield. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am at All Hallows Church in Moosup. Burial will follow at All Hallows Cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to All Hallows Church, 126 Prospect St, Moosup, CT 06354.
