Phyllis Dean Hanks entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on November 4, 2023. She is survived by her son, Bruce Hanks (Kristie), three grandchildren, Justin, Colton (Morgan) and Parker Hanks. She was a homemaker and faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Rd. Lexington, KY Friday, November 10th from 10:30am to 12:30pm, Funeral Service to follow. Burial will be at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.

Bruce....
I just found out about your Mothers death.
I am so sorry.
She was my Sunday school teacher...many years ago Such a sweet person..she had a funny side too. Once she told your Dad she had forgotten to roll the windows up on his Cadillac...it was storming outside very bad....well Phyllis let him get dressed ...almost time the door and said Eddie I was joking ...I rolled them up.
We loved her and Eddie in our young peoples group.
Just know I am so sad not to have known about her passing.
You have a perfect right to be extra proud of your Mom and Dad.
