Anabel Lane

Anabel Lane, age 85, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Pine Meadows Health Care. She was born on October 9, 1940, in Lexington, the daughter of the late Frank and Helen Collins Lane.
Anabel was a retired hairdresser and co-owner of the family business, LaLane Beauty Shop in Meadowthorpe, where she and her mother worked side by side. A member of Arlington Christian Church, Anabel enjoyed traveling with her parents on guided tours. Her true joy was celebrating Christmas, which was her favorite time of year.
She is survived by: her aunt, Alice Collins of Nicholasville; and cousins, Billie Jo (Don) Landrum of Walton, KY; Paul (Diana) Wheeler of Cincinnati, Charles David (Bebe) Collins of Nicholasville, Allen (Frances) Collins of Nicholasville, Dwight Collins of Utah, Rodney Collins of Florida, and Mary Edith (Ty) VanDeGrift of Florida.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, November 10, 2025, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Road. Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Anabel will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be family members. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Landrum and Paul Wheeler.
