The world lost a beautiful soul on October 17, 2025, when Phyllis died peacefully, due to Alzheimer's disease.

Phyllis was born on February 4, 1943 in Pound, VA, to Guy and Maudie Mullins. She was the youngest of five children, and she adored her siblings. The Mullins family moved to Oregon when Phyllis was 13, and she graduated from Myrtle Point High School in 1961. After high school, she attended business school, where she gained the skills to work as a secretary and payroll clerk, which she did for most of her life.

In 1969, she married Dan Noyes and they had one daughter, Dani Richay. After Dani's birth, they moved to Roseburg and Phyllis worked at Howard-Cooper Corp. Dan and Phyllis divorced in 1980.

In 1981, Phyllis married the love of her life, Dan Hansen. He was a wonderful man and treated Phyllis like a queen. Shortly after her 2nd marriage, Phyllis went to work for Whit-Log/Gene Whitaker Inc. and worked there for 26 years, retiring in 2009. Phyllis enjoyed her time there and made many special friends.

Phyllis loved flowers and her yard was full of them. She also loved birds, especially cardinals, and she always had a bird feeder in her yard. Phyllis also enjoyed watching sports, and her favorite teams were the Portland Trailblazers, Seattle Seahawks, and Oregon State Beavers.

Phyllis leaves behind her daughter, Dani Doan, son-in-law Chris, and grandsons Alec, Cade, and Davis. They were the true joys of her life. Phyllis is also survived by her sister and best friend, Lois Cooper, and brother, Ken Mullins, as well as three sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

We are all better people for having had Phyllis in our lives and we'll miss her every day. She was an amazing mom, a loving wife, and a caring sister and daughter. To honor her, please pay someone a compliment, as she was fond of telling people how pretty they were and that she loved them. A celebration of Phyllis' life will be held at a later date. Please contact the family for further information. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
