Phyllis graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1964. She was a homemaker whose whole life revolved around her family. Phyllis also had a big heart for animals. She was of the Baptist faith.
On August 15, 1964, Phyllis married Donald J. "Donnie" Hendrickson. He died December 19, 2008.
She is survived by: her daughter, Kim Elliott (Mike) of South Hutchinson; son, Curtis Hendrickson of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Matt Elliott (Brandy Harris) of South Hutchinson, Christian Elliott (Jessie) of McPherson, Derek Hendrickson (Collette) of Hutchinson, Dustin Hendrickson (Leigha) of California; Nathan Hendrickson (Courtney) of Nebraska; great-grandchildren, Kaedynce and Kadeyn Elliott, Jason Hendrickson; brothers, Joseph Kunzie of Hutchinson, Thomas Kunzie of Hutchinson, Raymond Kunzie of Wichita; and devoted neighbors, Eva and George Pruitt.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4th Ave., Hutchinson. Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kindred Hospice or Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
