Phyllis Ann Hudack, born July 8, 1941, in Alba, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025, at her home, surrounded by loving family members.

Phyllis was the beloved daughter of Elmer Brown and Evelyn Hubbard Brown. She was one of six children born to this union. Phyllis is predeceased by her brothers Jerry Brown, Albert Brown, and Leon Brown, and her sister Norma Stark. She is survived by her two devoted sisters, Joanne (Gary) Erickson and Barbara (Will) Pritchett.

Phyllis married her first husband, Thomas Edward Miller, in February 1961. They shared many cherished years together before his passing on Father’s Day in June 1981. From their union came three wonderful sons: Randy (Shelly) Miller, Tim (Suzanne) Miller, and Thomas (Wendy) Miller. Later in life, Phyllis found love again with Robert Hudack. They were married in March of 1993 and together they shared a beautiful blended family including Catherine (Mike) Krupp and Rick Hudack, who preceded Phyllis in death.

Phyllis’s legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Tomie (Alex) Gibson, Alec Miller, Derick Miller, Sebastian Krupp, and Norman Krupp. She was also blessed to be the great-grandmother of Cole Gibson, son of Tomie and Alex Gibson.

Phyllis had a dedicated work ethic, holding positions at Safety Technology International in Waterford, MI as a technician, and with Texas Instruments in Central Lake, MI. Her true calling, however, was in service to others. Phyllis volunteered extensively as a caregiver, working with Meals on Wheels, providing transportation for seniors, and assisting with acquiring medication and necessities. Her heart was always open to those in need, and she selflessly gave her time and love throughout her life.

Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life was filled with many cherished memories with her family and friends. She enjoyed entertaining others, was wonderfully stubborn, and delightfully opinionated. A fabulous cook, she was especially known for her baking and her unforgettable soups—particularly her famous chicken noodle soup. She was a faithful member of Solid Rock Church in Burton, MI, and throughout her life, she remained a devoted member of every church family she joined.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Phyllis Ann Hudack will be scheduled for a later date in her favorite place—beautiful Northern Michigan. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you consider a fully tax-deductible memorial donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105, Online www.stjude.org or call 1-800-822-6344, in memory of Phyllis Hudack. Arrangements were entrusted to Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc.

“Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things but you surpass them all.”—Proverbs 31:28-29
