Phyllis Lorraine Johnson

Phyllis L. Johnson of Cozad passed away Friday October 24, 2025 at Lexington Regional Health Center at the age of 60.

Phyllis was born in Cozad and grew up in Cozad. She went to school in Cozad and graduated from Cozad High School and then went on to do some College. Phyllis was a very loving dog mom to her many fur babies. Phyllis was an incredibly talented individual. She loved to do anything crafty. She painted many things and was exceptionally good at cross-stitching. Phyllis also loved to bake pies with her mom. Phyllis loved her nieces and nephews very much and supported them in all their school activities. Phyllis would be there for them cheering along and taking as many pictures as she could! Phyllis also loved to go hunting, fishing, and camping with her family and we are sure that she is feeling her greatest now and is with her dad and grandparents doing all the things she loved without a care in the world, laughing with her smile that lit up her face.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her father Larrie Johnson, as well as her paternal grandparents Raymond and Beverly Johnson and her maternal grandparents Lloyd and Jennie Rhinehart.

Survivors include her mother Janice Johnson of Cozad, sister Brenda (Farren) Stombaugh of Cozad, brother Rick (Stacie) Johnson of North Platte, sister Jennifer (Jason) Schneider of Cozad, sister Lacey (Allen) Anderson of Cozad, aunt Sharon (Larry) Call of Omaha, and many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to Cozad Fire and Rescue or Cozad Church of Christ. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Cozad Church of Christ on Newell with Pastor David Haynes officiating. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
