Phyllis Ann Joseph, age 93, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024.
Mrs. Joseph was born in Brookville, NY a daughter of the late Andrew and Stacia Jankowski Chebuske. She was employed with IBM for over thirty years before moving to Venice, FL with her husband in the 1980s. While in Venice, she was very active in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where she ran the gift shop and served in various capacities. In 2021, Mrs. Joseph moved to Myrtle Beach, SC and eventually resided in the Indigo community where she was a proud founding member. She enjoyed being active at Indigo and taking part in many activities. Her favorite hobby was playing Mahjongg with the residents and her niece Carol.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Joseph was preceded in death by her husband of forty-six years, Raymond Joseph; two sisters, Dorothy Seaman and Betty Zatwarnicki; one nephew, John Seaman; and one great nephew, Edward Zatwarnicki.
Survivors include one niece, Carol Trumpa (Douglas) of Conway, SC; five nephews, Andrew Seaman (Susan) of Jacksonville, NC, Matthew Zatwarnicki (Cecile) of Medford, NY, Peter Seaman of Conway, SC, William Zatwarnicki (Carolyn) of Moore, SC, and Christopher Seaman of Conway, SC; seven great nieces, Stacey Farrell (William), Melanie Dumicich (Frank), Valeri Garbarino (Douglas), Christina Wattenschaidt, Jennifer Seaman, Kristin Zatwarnicki, and Stephanie Zatwarnicki; five great-great nephews, Tyler Farrell, Aiden Farrell, Christopher Garbarino, Frankie Dumicich III, and Layne Wattenschaidt; and one great-great niece, Scarlett Dumicich.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Carolina Forest Chapel. A prayer service will be held at 12:00 PM.
