Phyllis D. Mantie

MANTIE, Phyllis Day (DeMoss), 86, of Davenport, FL, formerly of Ellington, CT, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. She was born March 30, 1936 in Boston, MA. Phyllis was an avid bowler and bowled on a women's league for many years at the former Vernon Lanes. She could be seen at her children's sporting events cheering them on or working the refreshment bar. Phyllis is survived by her four children, Keith (Amy) Mantie of New London, CT, Cheryl (Steven) Kelley of Kissimmee, FL, Bonnie Barboza of Davenport, FL and Stephen (Jody) Mantie of Charleston, SC, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, her sister, Terri (Andy) Feeser of Dayton, OH, many nieces and nephews, and a very special sister-in-law, Mary Fillatti of East Hartford, CT. She was predeceased by her husband of over 67 years, Charles Noel, their daughter, Linda Marie, and her brother, Lewis DeMoss. The family will hold services Sunday, May 21, 4-7 PM at Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, Vernon. A mass at St. Luke's Church, Ellington, will be held Monday, May 22 at 10:30 AM followed by burial in Ellington Cemetery.
