Phyllis Marie Mitchell, age 83 of Georgetown, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at the Hospice of Cincinnati-East Inpatient Care Center in Anderson Township, Ohio. She was born December 23, 1941 in Ripley, Ohio the daughter of the late Roy Bernard and Alta Beulah (Bradford) Hamilton. She was retired from the US Shoe Factory in Ripley, Ohio. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 53 years, Ronald Emerson Mitchell in 2011 whom she married June 28, 1958; two daughters - Beverly Sue Mitchell and Marilyn Williams and five brothers and sisters – Stanley Hamilton, Dorothy Vaughn, Thelma Jean White, Dennis Lee Hamilton and Cathy Valero.
Mrs. Mitchell is survived four children – Timothy A. Mitchell of Georgetown, Ohio, Carol Ann Mitchell of Georgetown, Ohio, Jeffrey Mitchell and wife Julie of Hamilton, Ohio and Barbara Jean Jones and husband James II of Hillsboro, Ohio; one son-in-law – Doug Williams of Mt.Orab, Ohio; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and four brothers and sisters – Pauline Jennings of Georgetown, Ohio, Billy Hamilton of Ripley, Ohio, Susan Brierly of Batavia, Ohio and Bonnie Fite of Copperas Cove, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio, Rev. Chuck Gray will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Cincinnati, 4360 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242.
