Phyllis M. Quinlan

Phyllis M. Quinlan (Robichaud) of Bridgewater passed away suddenly at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025. She was 76 years old.
Phyllis was born and raised in Hanson, and graduated from Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in 1966. After graduation, she worked at Brockton Savings Bank as a bank teller. As her professional career developed, Phyllis worked as a legal secretary at Nutter, Fletcher, & Paris Law Firm for 15 years, and Foley, Hoag, & Elliot Law Firm in Boston for another 10 years.
She met Lawrence Quinlan in 1968, and the two started dating shortly thereafter. They would later marry in 1972, and settled down in Bridgewater in 1977 where they raised their children.
Phyllis was a voracious reader and loved to travel. She took many trips over the years with her husband, including Italy, Mexico, Bermuda, and a few repeat visits to Saint John in the Caribbean. Their favorite travel experience was going to Ireland together. Above all, Phyllis was a doting grandmother and cherished her time spent with her two grandsons, Gabe and Connor. In recent years, Phyllis's most cherished activities included hanging out by the pool with her beloved grandsons and attending the boys' many sporting events.
Phyllis was an extremely hard working and organized woman. She loved her family fiercely, and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Phyllis is predeceased by her parents, Phillip Robichaud and Edna May (Churchill), her daughter Rachel Quinlan, as well as her siblings, Anita Robichaud, Rosemary Wyman, and John Garrigan.
She was the loving wife of 52 years to Larry Quinlan of Bridgewater. Devoted mother of Gregory Quinlan and his wife Rachel of Pembroke. Cherished grandmother of Gabriel and Connor Quinlan of Pembroke. Caring aunt of Cindy Wyman of Hanson, and Annmarie Purcell of Hanover and their families, as well as Brian, Brenda, Mark, and Martha Garrigan and their families, and Eileen McQueeney and family. Loving sister-in-law of Linda and Gardner Bassett of Marshfield Hills, Melanie and Michael Cassaro of Bridgewater, Claire Garrigan of Hanover, and William Quinlan of Brockton, and their families. Beloved long-time best friend of Pat Binder of Hyannis.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday, January 13th, 2025 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 98 Bedford Street, Bridgewater, MA 02324 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. A funeral home service will begin the following morning on Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Bridgewater.
