Phyllis Jean Rogers, 87, of Arcola, IL passed away peacefully at 10:22 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at her granddaughter's residence.
Phyllis requested no services, so the family is honoring her wishes and no formal services will be held.
Phyllis was born on June 21, 1938 in Tuscola, IL. She was a daughter of Paul and Martha (Seip) Vickroy. She married Glenn Rogers on December 8, 1967. He passed away on August 16, 2020.
She is survived by one son, Ty Rogers and his wife Trisha of Arcola, IL, two grandchildren, Bailey England and her husband Grant of Arcola, IL and Dakota Henne of Mattoon, IL, six great grandchildren, Tristan, Oliver, Austin and Aidan, and Nova and Daisy, and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister, Betty Maier and her husband Kenneth.
Phyllis graduated from Arcola High School in 1956. After high school Phyllis worked at the Tuscola First National Bank for many years until she retired. She and Glenn owned and operated the Letterman’s Club in Arcola for 25 years.
During retirement, Phyllis enjoyed doing cross-stitch and putting puzzles together until her eyesight failed. She also enjoyed being an active member of her graduating class’s get togethers throughout the years. Being with her grandchildren was her greatest joy. Phyllis will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
