Phyllis Marie Shinder

Phyllis Marie Shinder, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday May 6, 2022, in Port Orange, Florida. She was born in Utica, New York on February 11, 1937, to Louis and Antoinette (Pape) Flo.
Phyllis is survived by her four children: her son Mark Mazza (Amber and his three children) Topanga, CA, daughter Alison Mazza and her daughter in New Hartford, NY, son Dana Mazza (and his two children) in Daytona Beach, FL, and her daughter Michele Undercoffler (and her three children) of Port Orange, FL. She is also survived by her brother Robert Flo, of Utica, NY and nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She also leaves behind the two daughters of the love of her life, Leslie "Les" Frank of Ormond Beach who left us in 2021; Sherry Frank Killian (Casey) of Port Orange, FL and Barbara Frank (Dave) of Deleon Springs, FL. Both girls were loved and appreciated immensely by Phyllis as if they were her own children.
She is now with the love of her life, and they can have the fun of traveling especially to NASCAR races to see Ricky Rudd, cruising, the beaches around the world, and the togetherness they had previously. She was a true worshipper of God, and we all know the enjoyment and blessings she is filled with now. In addition to her family, Phyllis will also be remembered by her previous coworkers and friends she leaves behind from Caton Insurance Company. Other than her immediate family, her friends from Caton were pretty much like family as well.
In lieu of flowers, we would ask that you consider donations to Halifax Hospice of Port Orange in her honor. They, along with Port Orange Nursing and Rehabilitation, were very instrumental in taking care of Phyllis over the last years and keeping her healthy.
