Circleville – Phyllis Eileen Tannahill,79, of Holton, KS, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024 at The Pines South in Holton. She was born March 15, 1945 the daughter of Ralph Dilman and Florence E. (Burton) Cattrell. She graduated from Circleville High School 1964.
Phyllis worked for many years in the kitchen at the Holton Hospital. She spent most of her working life as the Housekeeping Supervisor at the Jackson County Nursing Home.
Phyllis was a member of the Circleville Christian Church.
Phyllis was united in marriage to Ron Browning. They later divorced. To this union they shared a son, Steve Browning.
She later married Raymond Tannahill. They later divorced. To this union, they shared a son, Kelly Tannahill.
Phyllis is survived by her two sons, Steve Browning (Kelly) of Emmett, KS and Kelly Tannahill (Loretta) of Holton, KS; 3 sisters, Wilma Mosher of Odessa, Mo, Connie Woltje of Circleville, KS and Mary Vaincourt (Ross) of Holton, KS; 2 brothers, Larry Cattrell (Rita) of Circleville, KS and Charles Cattrell (Ardeth) of Topeka, KS; 14 grandchildren, Denny, Matt (Lisa) and Rochelle Browning and Kyler, Konnor, Karoline, Koy, Kennedy Tannahill, Eric and Adam Gudenkauf, Kara Bergman (Brent), and Chris, Kolby, and Dalton Roush, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Florence Cattrell and 2 brothers-in-law, Melvin Mosher and Ernie Woltje.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow to the Circleville Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Jackson County Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels or Northeast Kansas Area Agency on Aging (NEKAAA) c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
