Phyllis Loretta Taylor, 79, of Tahoka, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday evening at home, surrounded by her loving family. Phyllis was born on May 1, 1946, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to the late O. B. Sparks, Sr. and Mildred Loretta (Colburn) Webster.
Phyllis was predominately a homemaker, raising and taking care of her adored family. She adored her grandchildren and nieces/nephews. She loved to fish, take care of everyone and cook…. notably her fried chicken. She was a Godly woman who loved her Lord very much. Phyllis was a longtime member of Sweet Street Baptist Church since 1974. She sang in the choir and also sang special music. Phyllis worked in her later years in the Tahoka School Cafeteria and helped her former husband with their NAPA store in Tahoka for many years.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include five children: Randy Taylor and wife Bridget of Tahoka, Robert Webster and his wife Marisa of Stennett, Texas, Michael Webster and wife Shannon of College Station, John Webster of College Station and Jerry Webster of Huntsville; one sister, Barbara Dipiazza of Birmingham, Alabama; two brothers: John Webster of Azle and Donald Webster and wife Lynette of Azle. She is also survived by her adored twenty one grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Deana Gaston; four brothers: O. B. Sparks, Jr., Jerry Webster, Larry Webster and Ronald Webster.
Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Sweet Street Baptist Church, 1300 Avenue J, in Tahoka.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider memorial donations to Sweet Street Baptist Church, PO Box 751, Tahoka, TX 79373.
