Phyllis J. Toomey (Clifford) ObituaryTOOMEY, Phyllis J. (Clifford), Formerly of Arlington, passed away peacefully a the age of 95, on July 12, 2025 at Villa Crest Nursing Home in Manchester NH. She was born in Arlington MA in 1929 to the late Muriel and Russell Clifford. She was predeceased by her husband Charles O. Toomey, Jr. who died in 2004, as well as her sisters Corrine and Barbara, and brothers, Edward and Donnie. Phyllis is survived by her 6 loving children; Debra DeSimone and her husband Albert of Arlington, MA, Barbara Donovan and her husband Steven of Meredith, NH, Charles 'Okie' Toomey, III and his wife Lyn of Londondery, NH, Timothy Toomey and his wife Christine of Middletown, RI, Phyllis Jean Madigan and her husband Michael of Moultonborough, NH, and David Toomey of Arlington, MA. Also survived by her daughter in law Michele Deneen of Natick, MA, her brother Raymond Clifford and his wife Linda of CA, her sister-in-law Judith Morrissette and her husband Paul of Worcester, MA, her brother-in-law Kenneth Toomey and his wife Barbara of Woburn, MA, and sister in law Catherine Toomey of W. Yarmouth, MA.
Phyllis will be deeply missed by her 20 Grandchildren and her 34 Great Grandchildren, they were her Pride and Joy!
Phyllis Loved everyone. Phyllis was a devoted Wife, MOM, Grandmother and Great Grandmother! Her face would light up with so much happiness when she saw each one of them! They loved and adored their Nana so much!
Mom Loved to play Bingo with her friends and still kept in contact with her High School friends.
Such a hard worker at many jobs like Buttricks, Peters Kitchen, bank teller, you name it she did it!
Mom always made sure us children always had the best life. We will always keep our wonderful memories for the rest of our Lives! Such a Loving strong woman!
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, ARLINGTON on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 10-11AM. Her Funeral Mass will follow in St. Agnes Church, 30 Medford Street, ARLINGTON at 11:30AM. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phyllis' memory may be made to made to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601. (www.alz.org).

Oh my...there has always been Phyllis in my life. She was the beloved and adored wife of my dear brother Oakie and beloved mother/Nana of her children and her children“s children. I have so many memories of a young vibrant woman...I will always treasure them. Uncle Paul and I embrace you all with our love and prayers. What an example of a devoted family you are. She will surely rest in peace.
