Piera Saccheri, 92, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born Tuesday, December 2, 1930 in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Vito Mule and the late Maria Galante Mule.
She was the beloved wife to the late Salvatore, who passed away in 2003. Loving mother to Catherine Houle, Carlo Saccheri (Francesca) and Nina Meleleo (Vito). Devoted grandmother to Laura and Joseph Nieves, Danielle and Filipo Scarcella, Anthony and Dorey Houle, Pasquale and Jessica Meleleo, Salvatore and Kristen Saccheri, Salvatore and Antonia Meleleo, David and Susan Houle, Stephanie Saccheri, Jennifer Saccheri and Michael and Jhenny Meleleo. Piera is also survived by her 27 cherished great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023, at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at St. Thomas The Apostle Church located at 50 Maguire Ave. Staten Island, New York 10309. Entombment will follow in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
