'Pio De La Cruz Aragones, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025, in Orange, California, at the age of 67. Born on August 27, 1957, in Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines, Pio lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories, leaving behind an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
Pio dedicated 15 years of his career to Arvato Bertelsmann as a digital print operator. Even after retiring at the youthful age of 64, Pio continued to embrace life with the same vigor and enthusiasm that characterized his professional journey.
A graduate of Saint Vincent's College in Dipolog, Pio earned his bachelor's degree in fishery and worked for the Bureau of Fishery in the Philippines. His zest for life was infectious, and he had an incredible ability to make those around him feel valued and loved.
Pio's interests were as diverse as they were profound. He found joy in playing tennis, watching boxing, and various sports. He was also a passionate gardener and a true culinary enthusiast, relishing the opportunity to cook and enjoy good food with his loved ones. His faith played a significant role in his life, as he was actively involved in the Saint Junipero Serra Parish Church and the Legacy Commons for Active Seniors. Pio cherished the moments spent on cruises and getaways with his wife, Luisa, and their family and friends, creating lasting memories that would be treasured forever.
Pios loving spirit will continue to resonate through his beloved wife, Luisa; his children, Kevin and Kelly; his sisters Edna, Doris, Guillermina, Marylou, and Susan, along with their spouses; and his brothers Antonio, Luciano, Obuenaventura, and their spouses. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews who adored him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Candelaria and Guillermo, and siblings Evelyn, Cynthia, Guillermo, and Jose, who now welcome him with open arms in eternal rest.
Pios memorial service is scheduled for April 5, 2025, at Halley Olsen Chapel of the Valley in Palmdale, California, where family, friends, and loved ones will gather to celebrate a life well-lived.
Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to his niece, Jundith, patient advocate, Portia, and the team at A Touch of Care for their compassionate care and kindness during Pio's final month. Your support and dedication brought comfort to him and to all of us, and we will be forever grateful.
He saw you were getting exhausted, and a cure was not meant to be. So He embraced you and whispered, 'Follow Me'. With inconsolable tears, we watched you go. Although we love you, we could not hold you back. Your young, strong heart stopped, hard working arms at rest. The good Lord broke our hearts to let us know he only takes the best.'
